Li Mingbo, 81, was a "civilian myth" in South Korea.He was born in poor, but he was able to rank among the Hyundai Group in South Korea. He was elected mayor of Seoul since politics and was elected president in December 2007.

In February 2020, the second instance of the Seoul High Court was sentenced to 17 years in prison.In October of the same year, the South Korean Court was charged with corruption and bribery. The final judgment was sentenced to 17 years in prison, a fine of 13 billion yuan, and recovering 5.78 billion yuan in criminal income.As a result, Li Mingbo has therefore become the fourth president of criminal conviction after Quan Douhuan, Lu Taiyu, and Park Geun -hye.
From November 2020 to June 2022, Li Mingbo has been serving in prison in prison, and he went to medical treatment during the period.In June of this year, Li Mingbo applied to the prosecution for three months on the grounds of health. In September, he applied for a temporary sentence for three months in September until December 28.After obtaining a pardon, Li Mingbo's 15 -year sentence and unpaid fines will be removed, and political rights will be restored.
The outside world is not surprising to Li Mingbo's amnesty.As early as in August this year, Yin Xiyue was pardoned in the "Restoration Festival", and the Korean media believed that Li Mingbo should be ranked among the pardon.However, Li Mingbo did not appear in the amnesty list in the end. At that time, the amnesty was mainly based on Samsung's Li Zaiyu and other business circles.
Today, Li Mingbo has been able to regain freedom. The reason given by the Ministry of Justice by the South Korean Ministry of Justice is that the government has made a pardon decision from the perspective of united citizens such as reconciliation and tolerance, hoping to eliminate social opposition and contradictions.However, some media analysis pointed out that the Yin Xiyue government may have more considerations behind Li Mingbo.
On the one hand, in this amnesty list, there are not only conservatives, but also progressive people.Among them, in addition to Li Mingbo, there are some senior officials in Park Geun -hye's administration.The main character of the progressive club is Wen Zaiyin's confidant Kim Chong -hyun. His sentence was originally ended in July next year. Although the amnesty can let him be released from prison earlier, his right to be elected will not be recovered until 2028.It can be seen that the amnesty list does not have "a bowl of water" between the progressive and conservatives.
On the other hand, when the amnesty was launched, the support rate of Yin Xiyue's government was in a rising period.A survey on December 26 showed that Yin Xiyue's political praise rate was 41.2%.Therefore, despite the controversy of amnesty Li Mingbo in Korean society, Yin Xiyue still decided to amnesty.For Yin Xiyue, amnesty Li Mingbo can help him consolidate support from conservatives and further improve his governing situation.
Before being elected president, Yin Xiyue sent Park Geun -hye and Li Mingbo into prison in one hand, so that the "Qingwatai Mantra" (referring to the miserable Korean president in South Korea) continued.Today, Park Geun -hye has been forgiven by Wen Zaiyin, and Li Mingbo has also got rid of his 囹圄.Yin Xiyue also moved the presidential palace out of Qingwatai. Does this mean that the "Qingwatai curse" is about to end?
At least from the current point of view, Wen Zaiyin's fate is difficult to predict.Several senior officials during the administration of Wen Zaiyin were recently circulated by the prosecutor, including Park Jiyuan, former dean of the Korean National Intelligence Institute, Hong Changzheng, the former chief secretary of the Economic Economic, and Lu Yingmin, the head of the Secretary of the Secretary of Qingwatai.The struggle between the wild party and the ruling party did not stop.The prosecution's actions may once again decide the direction of Korean politics.
