The latest documents submitted to the Legislative Council on Wednesday (June 28) of the Hong Kong Security Bureau showed that the vacancy rates of the Police Office, Correals, Customs, and Government Flight Service have continued to rise in the past three years.
According to Hong Kong Zhongtong News Agency, in 2022 to 23, the police force is the highest, at 17.8%; followed by the government flight service team with a vacancy rate of 16%;vacancy.
The Security Bureau said that the vacancy of the positions of the record forces will bring challenges. It will closely monitor salary and service conditions, improve recruitment and launch measures to retain talents, and use technology to simplify frontline work.
The Security Bureau also emphasized that various measures have been results. For example, after the police forces have adjusted their entry requirements, the number of inspections and police officers in May increased by 1.7 times compared to April.
