Nvidia Chinese website on Thursday (December 28) launched a graphics card called RTX 4090D, which is the low -performance version of Nvidia's top flagship graphics RTX 4090.
In terms of performance comparison, the official website did not compare RTX 4090D with RTX 4090. Instead, it compared it with RTX 3090 TI. It is called RTX 4090D to achieve a qualitative leap in terms of performance, efficiency, and AI -driven graphics.
The starting price of4090D chip is 12,999 yuan (S $ 2500), which is the same as RTX 4090 sold in other countries.
The US government further tightened export control over high -end chips in mid -October this year. Subsequently, Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card was removed from Chinese e -commerce channels.
Quick Technology reported that the core number of Nvide RTX 4090D decreased, and its kernels were reduced from 16384 to 14,592, which can be understood as significantly lower artificial intelligence reasoning performance.
According to Bloomberg News, a Nvidia spokesman said in an email that the design of the GeForce RTX 4090D complies with the US government's export control regulations and it will only retail in China.
