According to the Yonhap News Agency, two passenger bus on Wednesday (August 16) via the Yalu River Bridge in Xinyi Prefecture, North Korea and Dandong City, Liaoning Province, China, to and from North Korea.
Yonhap News Agency quoted sources that the two bus departed from Dandong at 10:15 am on the same day. After arriving in Xinyi Prefecture via the Yalu River Bridge, they returned to Dandong at 11:20.
Sources believe that passengers carrying bus will probably be related to the International Taekwondo League (ITF) World Championships in Kazakhstan from 19th to 26th of this month.
North Korea will send more than 100 athletes to Kazakhstan to participate in the Taekwondo World Championships.The Yonhap News Agency reported that the North Korean delegation is expected to take a train from Dandong to Beijing and stay in the North Korean Embassy in China for a day before taking the opportunity to go to Kazakhstan.
North Korea locks out the epidemic prevention in January 2020, and comprehensively interrupts personnel between other countries.However, in January last year, it resumed the North Chaozhong goods operation. This year, some trucks from the port of the central border area were restarted.
