According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) on Saturday (March 25), the man is a senior director of a Japanese company.The Japanese government sources said that he was detained by Chinese security organs earlier this month because of suspected violation of Chinese law.It is reported that the man may be arrested for suspected espionage.
The Japanese Embassy in China has made a request to talk to men and is collecting information about the cause of men's arrest.
On the other hand, a spokesman for the Japanese Pharmaceutical Company Anstelai Pharmaceutical told Reuters on Sunday that the arrested Japanese man is an employee of the company.However, Anstela Pharmaceutical spokesman did not disclose the name of the man and said it was unclear why he was arrested by Chinese officials.
The following year after China implemented the Anti -Spy Law in 2014, the Japanese have been detained by the Chinese officials for the fact that the Japanese were involved in spy behavior.Including this incident, at least 17 Japanese were detained.
