The data released by the official website of the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday (March 9) showed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Chinese residents rose 1.0%year -on -year and increased by 2.1%in January.The estimated medium number obtained by Reuters earlier after the investigation was 1.9%.From a month -on -month perspective, CPI rose 0.8%in January to a decrease of 0.5%.
Dong Lijuan, chief statistician of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that in interpreting the data, the CPI increased year -on -year, mainly the Spring Festival, and the comparison base was higher in the same period last year.
