China began to build the country's first large -scale and far -reaching sea wind power project. The project is located in the eastern waters of Wanning City, Hainan Province. It will be the world's largest commercial floating offshore wind power project.

China Electric Power Construction Central South Court announced on WeChat public account on Monday (December 26), which was invested by China Power Construction New Energy Group and China Power Construction Central South Court.The starting ceremony was held in Wanning City, Hainan Province.

Announcement stated that this marks the official entry into the implementation stage of the world's largest commercially commercialized floating offshore wind power project that is promoted by China Electricity Construction with the "investment-construction-camp" integrated model.

According to the announcement, the total installed capacity of the project planned was 1 million kilowatts, the plan was planned in two phases, and the installation capacity of the first phase of the project was 200,000 kilowatts.It is planned to be put into production at the end of 2027.
