The US electric vehicle giant Tesla denied that the company will be reported by 20%in the Shanghai plant in December due to weak demand.
Reuters and Bloomberg Society on Monday (December 5) quoted people familiar with the matter reports that after evaluating the performance of the Chinese market, Tesla will start to reduce production as soon as this week.
This will be the first time that Tesla is voluntarily reduced production in this Chinese factory. At present, the company is facing competition from BYD and GAC Group.
In this regard, Tesla responded that the report on the company's Shanghai plant will be reduced by "unreal."
On the other hand, Cui Dongshu, Secretary -General of the China Federation of China, said on Monday that the Tesla Shanghai plant delivered 100,291 electric vehicles in November.The data is almost twice as many as 52,859 vehicles delivered in November 2021.Tesla delivered 7,1704 vehicles in October this year.Cui Dongshu did not specifically explain the delivery of domestic markets and exports.
Cui Dongshu also said that the Tesla Shanghai plant may reach 750,000 units in 2022.
Tesla's competition in China, the world's largest electric vehicle market, is intensified.The recent epidemic and prevention and control measures have prevented potential customers from large cities such as Guangzhou and Chengdu enter the exhibition hall.
