According to the Taiwan Free Times report, Chen Guochang, director of the Earthquake Surveying and Report Center of the Central Meteorological Bureau of Taiwan, said that this is a separate sequence earthquake caused by the hidden band of the sector, which has nothing to do with the magnitude 6.8 earthquake on the 918 Taitung pool.

Chen Guochang said that the cause of this sequence earthquake was when the Philippine Sea sector and the Eurasian plate were squeezed, and they occurred at the turning point to hidden an earthquake for the sector.Due to the crushing of geology of the earthquake source, the frequency and scale of aftershocks are not much, and the residual shock above level 4 or above will not exceed two days.
