(Beijing News) Admiral Lin Xiangyang of the Chinese People's Liberation Army served as commander of the Eastern Theater and replaced another general He Weidong.

Beijing Youth Daily's WeChat public account "Zhengzhi" reported on Friday (September 30) that Lin Xiangyang first attended the ceremony of presented the flower basket in Nanjing as commander of the Eastern theater on the same day.

Public information shows that the Eastern theater has six provinces and cities in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, and Anhui. The theater organs are in Nanjing.

Lin Xiangyang, 58, is from Fujian Fujian. He used to be the former deputy commander of the 31st Army and the former commander of the 47th Army. He was promoted to general in September last year.

Lin Xiangyang's news in the eastern theater has appeared in public reports in March this year, but his position has not been disclosed.

He Weidong, the former commander of the Eastern Theater, has been transferred to the Central Military Commission Union Center.
