For more than a year after the outbreak of the Russian and Ukraine War, the Bayeng government continued to provide military assistance to Ukraine, with a total of nearly $ 50 billion (about S $ 66.5 billion). At present, the war is in a state of stalemate, and the prospects are extremely uncertain. More and more people in the United States have questioned the rationality of the Wu military in the United States. The Republican Party has also launched a fierce debate on this issue.

Governor of Florida Desandis recently said that the United States should stop assisting Ukraine on the grounds that the Russian and Ukraine War belonged to the "territorial dispute" of the two countries and did not involve major national interests in the United States.De Santis criticized the Biden government with unlimited blank checks to Ukraine, and claimed that the United States was distracted by the Russian and Ukraine War and ignored more serious security challenges.

As soon as De Santis's remarks came out, it attracted widespread attention in the United States. After all, in the context of Trump's recent popularity in the party and facing criminal prosecution, De Santis, as a hot political star, is the most powerful competitors of Republican presidential candidates in 2024.If the Russian and Ukraine War has been procrastinating, if De Santis is elected as the next president, it is likely to mean that the United States has a significant steering in Ukrainian policy.

In fact, De Santis's statement has a lot to do with the transformation of the Republican voters.

On January 31st this year, the Puyou Research Center of the poll agencies announced a survey result that the proportion of Republicans who assisted too much assistance to Ukraine increased from 9%in March last year to 40%.During the same period, the ratio of Republicans that threatened the Russia and Ukraine to the United States fell from 51%to 29%.It is not difficult to see that more and more Republican voters have changed from support to doubt on the attitude of assistance on Ukraine.

However, De Santis's view was violently criticized by Republican colleagues.Senator Rubio refuted Desandis's saying on the "territorial dispute" of the Russian and Ukraine War, and proposed a cosmetic consequences to bring catastrophic consequences to Ukraine.Senior Senator Graham bluntly stated that De Sandeis, as the British Prime Minister Zhang Bollen, who had appeased to Nazi during World War II, said that if the United States was in trouble, it meant that he would retreat and show weakness, and there would be more provocations and aggression in the future.Former US resident representatives of the United Nations Heali and former Vice President Pence also expressed their statements to support continuing to assist Ukraine and advocate military operations to fight back Russia with tough means.

On the surface, De Santis's statement contrary to the Republican traditional route. For a long time, the Republican Party is known for its diplomatic and security policies, advocating to change peace with strength and support foreign -driven operations to maintain the global leadership of the United States. However, after Trump, under the banner of "U.S. Priority", the isolationist forces within the Republican Party looked up, and strongly required the United States to implement strategic contraction and reduce foreign military obligations. This is also an indisputable fact.At the Conservative Political Action Conference that ended not long ago, Republican politicians Rick shouted the slogan "U.S. Priority" and criticized the government to splurge huge military aid, which may trigger the "Third World War".

In contrast, the attitude of former President Trump on Ukraine has appeared ambiguous. It both agrees that Ukraine proposed by De Santis is not a major point of national interests in the United States.Aid to U -Wu, but advocating more assistance in the European allies and sharing economic pressure for the United States.Trump also boasted that if he was elected president again, he would act as a peaceful coordinator to let the war end within 24 hours.

To some extent, the Republican internal disputes also reflect the contradictions of the United States on the Ukrainian issue. On the one hand, the United States must give Ukraine aid for the consideration of maintaining international morality and playing the role of world leaders.President Biden said in public many times that the United States will unswervingly provide support to Ukraine.

On the other hand, the United States is still cautious in providing military aid, especially weapons, and try not to force Russia to be lonely.Although Ukraine has repeatedly asked the United States to provide F-16 fighters and long-range missiles, the Bayeon government still did not agree, because it was worried that after Russia was severely damaged, it would use tactical nuclear weapons to push the war into a difficult situation.Because of this, some people think that the scale of military aid provided by the United States to Ukraine is to control the degree of controlling Russia without defeating Russia.

The curtain of the pre -election in 2024 is about to start. Republicans who are interested in campaign may echo the voices of the party's voters on the Ukraine issue in order to win more support. As the Republican doubts have increased and the war is extended, the consensus foundation of the two parties in Ukrainian military aid will become weaker and weaker.Perhaps this may evolve into a conflict between the two parties.
