According to Xinhua News Agency, the 2023 Qingchi site archeological excavation project was jointly completed by the Tianjin Cultural Heritage Protection Center, Jilin University Archaeological College, and the Jizhou District Cultural Heritage Protection Center.The organizational acceptance evaluation of the organization discovered the transitional relic of the old and Neolithic era.
Qingchi site is located in Hewan Town, Jizhou District, Tianjin.The Tianjin archeological department conducted three archeological excavations of the site in the 1990s, and found the relics of the Neolithic era and the Xia and Shang and Zhou dynasties.
From October to December 2023, the Qingchi site conducted the fourth archeological excavation.In the two excavation areas, the transitional relics of the late Paleolithic era sequence stratum and the old and the Neolithic period were exposed in the late Paleolithic era.More than 1,000 cultural relic specimens.
The person in charge of the archeological excavation project of the Qingchi site Sheng Li Shuang said that according to inference, the age of the relics of Paleolithic Stone should be between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago, that is, the late Paleolithic era.
Shengli Shuang also said that the archeological excavation showed that in the early stages of the Neolithic era, the Qingchi site made stone tools and pottery, grinding stone tools, and the mesh and bone needles were also unearthed.The family, dogs, birds, freshwater fish and other animals were abundant. Many artificial processing marks of animal bone bone were obvious, showing the transitional characteristics of diverse human production and living methods at that time.
