China Eastern Airlines on Thursday (May 25) announced at the performance briefing that the first C919 aircraft has been delivered to the company at the end of last year and is expected to invest in actual operation in the near future.
According to the Securities Times, China Eastern said that the company and the Chinese COMAC officially signed the procurement agreement of five C919 passenger planes in March 2021. The first delivery has been delivered at the end of last year and is expected to be put into actual operation in the near future.C919 will operate with Shanghai as the main base.
Eastern Airlines also said that the company intends to complete the five C919 introduction in 2022 and 20123, and will decide the subsequent introduction plan according to the actual operating situation and the company's air network planning.
C919 passenger aircraft is the first trunk civil aircraft that China has developed in accordance with the latest International Airlines Standards and has completely independent intellectual property rights since the development of the "big aircraft" in 2008.The range is 4075 to 5555 kilometers.
Eastern Airlines and China COMAC officially signed a C919 large passenger aircraft purchase contract in March 2021, becoming the world's first startup user in the world's large aircraft C919.According to the agreement, the first batch of China Eastern Airlines will introduce five C919 aircraft. On December 9 last year, the first C919 aircraft was received.
