(Washington Reuters) Russian President Putin said he is expected to meet with Chinese officials soon.
The Kremlin diplomatic consultant Ushakov revealed in July that Putin plans to visit China during the third Belt and Road Summit Forum in October, but the officials of the two China and Russia have not confirmed the news.
Putin started on Friday (September 1) with the new school year in Russia to communicate with some students.In the live TV screen, Putin did not confirm that we would visit China, but said, "We will soon have some activities, including meeting."
He also said, "He (Chinese official) calls me a friend, and I am also glad to call him a friend, because he has done a lot to promote the development of Russian -China relations."
Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine has been isolated by Western countries, it has shifted to the most powerful ally China.China refused to blame Russia, condemned the West to Russia's sanctions, and continued to buy oil and gas from Russia.
