The Wall Street Journal reported that hacker gangs related to Beijing invaded an email account of the US ambassador to China in a spy activity.Essence

Reporting on Thursday (July 20) quoted people familiar with the matter, saying that in the wider spy activity disclosed earlier this month, the email account of the US State Council East Asia and Pacific Affairs Assistant Secretary of State Kangda was also invaded.

Reuters reports to the US State Department for verification, and the State Council refuses to disclose any details, only to say that the investigation of espionage continues.

In this attack operation, only the three victims of Bernus, Kangda and the Minister of Commerce Raymond were made public.When the Secretary of State Brillings visited Beijing in June, he issued a warning to senior Chinese diplomatic officials.

The Chinese Embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to the Wall Street Journal report. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously claimed that the allegations were "false information".

Microsoft said on July 14 that Chinese hackers used "a verification error in Microsoft code" to steal emails from US government agencies and other customers, but did not explain how hackers obtained Microsoft's digital keys.

Microsoft did not immediately comment on the Wall Street Journal report on Thursday.
