(Morning News) John Sullivan, a US ambassador to Russia, left Russia on Sunday (September 4).

62 -year -old Sharvin was appointed as the US ambassador to Russia in December 2019.

The US Embassy in Russia said in a press release: "After he leaves, he will retire from up to 40 years of public service career in five US presidents."

The

statement also said that before the next ambassador arrived, Elizabeth Rood will be the temporary office of the US Embassy in Russia.

Shatin served as an assistant Secretary of State during his appointment in former US President Trump, and previously held multiple senior positions in the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Commerce.

The time of Salvin's departure is at the lowest point since the Cold War.
