The number of personal bankruptcy applications in Hong Kong rose to a five -month high in August.

Comprehensive Hong Kong Newspaper and Zhongtong News Agency reported that data released by the Hong Kong Bankruptcy Management Agency on Friday (September 15) showed that the number of personal bankruptcy applications received in AugustFrom 52, a year -on -year increase of 79, which has increased for two consecutive months, and it is also a new high in five months.

On the other hand, the number of mandatory companies' liquidation applications in August was 52, a month -on -month increase of six, an increase of 13 year -on -year.

Data show that in the first eight months of this year, the number of personal application for bankruptcy was 5048, a year -on -year increase of 264 (5.5%).It means that Hong Kong personal bankruptcy applications and company liquidation applications are rising.
