Salvador Moncada, the first ambassador to China, has arrived in Beijing on Friday (September 29).
According to China CCTV news report, Honduras Embassy in China stated that the ambassador's appointment will further deepen the friendship between Husheus and the People's Republic of China.
Public information shows that Moncada, 78, is a famous pharmacist and scientist in Honduras this year.He founded the Wolfson Institute of Biomedical at the University of London, UK in 1996, and served as the director until 2012. He started to engage in cancer research at the University of Manchester the following year.
Moncada is a member of the Royal Society and a foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences.
China and Honduras established diplomatic relations in March this year. Yu Bo, who was the first time in which the China Embassy in Honduras, was the first ambassador to Hongdu.
