According to the Witness of Reuters, Tesla CEO Musk's private jet arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport, China on Tuesday (May 30).
Sources said Musk is expected to meet with senior Chinese officials and visit Tesla's Shanghai factory.This will be his first visit to China for three years.
Reuters reported in March this year that Musk plans to go to China and hopes to meet with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang as soon as April, but the exact meeting date will depend on Li Qiang's schedule.
China is the second largest market in the United States after Tesla, and the Shanghai plant is the largest production center of this electric car manufacturer.
