According to Reuters, the Thai government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri said on Sunday (May 28) that the government expects the number of Chinese tourists this year to reach 5 million people set up earlier.The target is expected to spend 446 billion baht (about S $ 17.3 billion).

A total of about 274,000 Chinese tourists went to this Southeast Asian country last year.In 2019 before the epidemic, 11 million Chinese tourists went to Thailand, accounting for about 28%of the total number of tourists.

The Thai government also revealed that 9.47 million foreign tourists were received from January to mid -May this year, and the number of tourists in 2022 was 11.15 million.
