(Sydney Composite Electric) The Solomon Islands Police Force announced that a delegation of 32 police officers left Solomon on October 8 and went to China for the first time to receive police technical training.

According to Reuters, the Solomon Islands Police Force said on Tuesday (October 11) that 32 police officers will visit different police stations in China for a month.

According to the Russian news agency, the Solomon Islands government said in a statement that the police will contribute to the "better cooperation between the Royal Police Force of the Solomon Islands and the Chinese police and enhance friendship between the two countries."

Yao Ming, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the Solomon Islands, said that the Solomon Islands delegation will have a better understanding of "Chinese police, diverse Chinese culture and friendly Chinese people".

The

China Institute officially signed a framework agreement for intergovernmental safety cooperation in April this year, and emphasized that the cooperation is not targeted at any third party.

Australia, neighbors of the United States and Solomon Islands, had pressured, asking the country to reject the agreement.

In June this year, the Chinese police trained the local police at the headquarters of the police forces in the country, including self -defense and counterattack exercises, as well as basic survival skills.
