Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter and revealed that the Sri Lankan creditors of the Paris Club have contacted China and India to coordinate Sri Lanka's debt reorganization negotiations.
The informed official who was unwilling to be named because of the negotiations said that the club was waiting for the response of the two countries after the formal request was issued at the end of August.
The Paris Club is an informal group that is mainly composed of rich western bilateral creditors.
The official said that the coordination of the Sri Lanka debt problem may promote a formal creditors committee, or hold regular meetings to share information about debt processing.
According to reports, the Presidential Palace of Sri Lanka said that he did not know the latest operations of the Paris Club.
Asian diplomats in Coronapu, the capital of Sri Lanka, confirmed that the Paris Club has been in contact with the country's non -Paris club creditors.
