The official website of the Ministry of Education of China last Friday (September 23) released a response to the suggestions of the people's congress representatives that foreign languages are an important part of the comprehensive development of students, intellectual, physical and labor, and help cultivate students' international perspective and cross -crossCultural communication ability.The compulsory education curriculum (2022 edition) stipulates that the class ratio of each subject is: 20%to 22%, 13%to 15%of mathematics, 10%to 11%of sports and health, and 6%to 8%foreign languages.
The curriculum scheme in high school shows that the ratio of general high school foreign language compulsory hours accounts for about 7%of the compulsory total credits.Foreign languages are obviously lower than Chinese, mathematics, sports, art and other disciplines.
The Ministry of Education of China said that in 2014, the State Council clearly stipulated that the Chinese, mathematics, and foreign language subjects of the unified college entrance examination unchanged, and the scores were unchanged.At this stage, the arrangement of foreign language unified examinations is determined in accordance with the central government's top -level design of the college entrance examination reform.
In March of this year, some representatives of the Chinese People's Congress proposed that students' teaching of traditional culture should be increased, the proportion of English teaching, and the score of English in the exam.
