(Ottawa Comprehensive) Canada Prime Minister Trudeau Friday (September 23) appointed senior diplomats Jennifer May as the Canadian Ambassador to China.The position has been hanging since December last year.
Comprehensive Reuters and China News Agency reported that Trudeau said in a statement that Mei Qianlin was a senior diplomat with 30 years of experience.She has been a Canadian Ambassador to Brazil and worked in the Canadian Embassy and Consulate in Beijing and Hong Kong to speak fluent Mandarin.
Trudeau said that Mei Qianlin "will lead Canada's important work in defending democratic values, human rights and rule of law", and says that her focus is to promote Canada priority in Canada -China relations.
Mei Qianlin will be the 16th ambassador to Canada in Beijing after the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and China in 1970. It is also the country's first female ambassador to China.
Mei Qianlin graduated from the University of Rawar, has a dual bachelor's degree in politics and German, and entered the Grand Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1990.Mei Qianlin was honored to be appointed as an important position on the online social platform and looked forward to going to office.
