(Morning News) Russia's invasion of Ukraine caused the energy supply crisis. The International Energy Agency urged governments to immediately take measures to reduce global oil consumption within a few months on Friday (March 18).

Agence France -Presse reported that in one report, the International Energy Agency (IEA) put forward 10 suggestions, including working at home and reducing speed restrictions at home every Wednesday, so as to "within the next four months"The daily oil consumption of developed economies is reduced by 2.7 million barrels.

The outbreak of the Ukrainian war led to a sharp rise in fuel prices, and major economies such as the United States and Canada also prohibited the import of oil to sanction Russia.

IEA said that as Russia's oil supply may be further reduced, as the global demand season enters the peak demand season, "there will be a risk of further tightening the market in the next few months and the rise in oil prices sharply."

The agency said that the demand for oil in the world's developed economies accounted for about 45%of the global ratio (currently consumed of 44 million to 45 million barrels per day), and these economies can reduce the demand for oil.

IEA's 10 suggestions are mainly targeted at transportation, including: reducing speed limit, reducing public transport charges, and more long -distance train instead of aircraft.
