(Washington Reuters) The U.S. government is allegedly cited some products from the innovation of DJI in the import of Chinese drone manufacturers DJI forcing the Uyghur Labor Law.

DJI Innovation Wednesday (October 16) sent a letter to the distributor to reveal the above news. The letter said that it is the U.S. Customs Border Protection Agency, which seems to be part of the relevant measures of the US Department of Homeland Security, which aims to review the source of product, especially the drone made in China.

The innovation of DJI, which accounts for more than half of the sales of UAVs in the United States, emphasized that the company's manufacturing process does not involve forced labor at any stage.DJI Innovation also told Reuters that the company is providing documents to US Customs to prove that the company complies with the prevention of Uighurs' labor law.The law took effect in June 2022, with the purpose of fighting against the abuse of the Uighur and other Muslim ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, China.

The US Customs Border Protection has not responded to Reuters' comment requests.

DJI UAV has been accused of the existence of data transmission, surveillance and national security risks in the United States. The House of Representatives voted last month to pass the bill that banned DJI's new drone in the United States. It is currently waiting for the Senate for approval.
