According to the decree issued on the Russian government legislative website, this additional military decree will take effect on January 1 next year, including an increase of 137,000 combatants, and the total number will reach 1.15 million.

The last time Putin adjusted the scale of the Russian army in November 2017. At that time, the total number of troops including non -combatants was 1.9 million, and the number of combatants was 1.01 million.

The decree did not explain how to increase troops, but instructed the government to allocate the corresponding budget.
