Twenty years ago, more than half of the Chinese families used Chinese to communicate at home, but today's situation is very different.Today, many Chinese families mainly speak English.The Ministry of Education conducts a family survey for parents of freshmen every year. This year's data show that 71 % of the Chinese families are mainly English at home.This phenomenon not only appeared in the local Chinese family, but also the Malay and Indian families using English at home have also increased significantly. Now, their situation is similar to that of Chinese families.
Therefore, speaking Chinese movements must be advanced with the times to adapt to this major change.We need to double their efforts to encourage Chinese people to integrate Chinese into daily life. We must also try to maintain the vitality and uniqueness of Chinese Chinese.

Singapore Chinese is influenced by other languages and dialects.
