The Hong Kong Government issued a newsletter on Tuesday (November 28) that the Lunar New Year Fireworks Show will be held on February 11 (Sunday, the second day of the New Year) next year.The Hong Kong Kangle and Cultural Affairs Department invited intended institutions to submit an application before December 7.
According to the online media "Hong Kong 01", Ming Pao, Sing Tao Daily, etc., the last Lunar New Year Fireworks Show in Hong Kong was still the Year of the Pig in 2019.
Fireworks Show is a routine event in the Spring Festival in Hong Kong. Since 1982, it is held in Victoria Harbor on the second day of the New Year's Day every year.Since 2020, due to the impact of the crown disease, the Hong Kong Government has canceled the fireworks show.
