Australian Chinese writer Yang Hengju said that he had kidney cysts

Australian Chinese writer Yang Hengjun told his supporters that his kidneys had cysts.

According to the Bloomberg Society on Monday (August 28), Yang Hengjun said that after he found a large cyst in the kidneys, he was worried that he would die in prison.

Nenal cysts are generally harmless, but may cause complications and need to be removed.

Yang Hengjun, also known as Yang Jun, was detained after taking a plane from the United States in January 2019.

Chinese official announced on August 27 of the same year that the Beijing National Security Bureau arrested Yang Hengjun with suspected spy crimes.The Second Branch of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate filed a public prosecution against Yang Heng in October the following year.Yang Hengjun's case was tried in Beijing in May 2021.

Yang Hengjun's family once said that they were worried about Yang Hengjun's physical condition.
