A survey report shows that the average commuting of major cities in China consumes 36 minutes, and the workplace newcomers have a longer commute.
According to the surging news report, the 2023 China ’s commuting monitoring report (hereinafter referred to as the report) was released on Friday (August 18) at the China Urban Planning and Design Research Institute.
The report was jointly released by the Urban Transport Infrastructure Monitoring and Governance Laboratory of the Ministry of Housing and Urban -Rural Development, the China Urban Planning and Design Research Institute, and Baidu Maps.Commuting data, continuing nine indicators of commute time, commuting space, and commuting traffic, showing changes in Chinese urban residence space and commuting characteristics in 2022.
The report shows that more than 14 million people in major cities in China are still suffering from extreme commuting, and the proportion of commuting population for more than 60 minutes is 12%, which is the same year -on -year.Among them, the proportion of extreme commuting population in the large cities reached 17%and 11%of the large cities.
The average one -way commuting time in China's major cities consumes 36 minutes, and the average one -way time in Beijing consumes 47 minutes. It is still the longest -consuming city.Shanghai, Chongqing, and Qingdao spent more than 40 minutes in one way.This is also the first time Qingdao has exceeded 40 minutes.
Among the 16 cities with the largest increase in college graduates, the average commuting distance of newcomers in the workplace under the age of 25 is generally longer, which is 5 percentage points higher than the average level of the city.In Shanghai and Chongqing, the average commuting distance of new people in the workplace exceeds 10 kilometers, and Beijing has a maximum of 12.1 kilometers.
From the report, newcomers in the workplace rely on rail transit.Among the 16 typical cities, 27%of the newcomers in the workplace are covered with the 800-meter coverage of the rail station, which is 3-5 percentage points higher than the average city.
