Bangladesh in South Asia has applied for formal joining the BRICS cooperation mechanism.The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes this.

The five BRICS countries will hold the BRICS Summit in South Africa in August this year to discuss the qualifications of new members of Bangladesh.According to previous reports, the BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa from August 22 to 24.
