Lin Wenxiao, a famous Chinese animated artist and director of snow children, died of illness on Wednesday (June 7) at the age of 89.

According to China News Agency, Lin Wenxiao was a member of the Chinese Animation Society and a member of the International Animation Association (ASIFA).She was born in Danyang, Jiangsu in 1935. She graduated from Beijing Film School in 1953 with the animation design and director of the Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio.More than 20 cartoons including Schuke and Beta.

Reported that Lin Wenxiao witnessed and participated in many "firsts" of Chinese animation, including China's first color animated long film, China's first ink cartoons, China's first wide screenAnimated long film and so on.
