(Beijing News) Chinese officials will host the China -Central Asian Summit held in Xi'an next week to exchange opinions with the five Central Asian leaders on strategic cooperation and major international and regional issues.
According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the China -Central Asian Summit will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province from May 18th to 19th.The summit will be chaired by Chinese officials, Kazakhstan President Toccyev, Gilgisstan President Zaparov, Tajikistan President Rahmon, Turkmenistan President Beldemimadov, Uzbekistan President Mirchiyev willInvited to the meeting.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on Monday (May 8) at a regular press conference that this is the first major home diplomatic activity in China this year. It is also the first time that the six heads of state have established diplomatic relations in this year.It is a milestone in the history of China's relations with Central Asian countries.
Wang Wenbin said that Chinese officials will speak during the summit to review the development of China-Central Asian relations with leaders of various countries, and exchange opinions on major international and regional issues that China-Central Asian mechanism construction and major international and regional issues that are concerned about.The heads of state of various countries will also sign political documents.
Ukrainian issue will be one of the focus of the summit.In April of this year, Qin Gang, a Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister, held a meeting with the Foreign Ministers of the Five Central Asian countries that China was willing to cooperate with Central Asia to promote the largest number of conventions to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
