Mark Chereza's research interests are concentrated on cultural research, especially emphasis on the importance of orientalism in Italy and European literature.He is also interested in ancient Chinese literature, especially the relationship between Tang poetry and literature and material and food culture.He was the first person to translate the Tang Dynasty Lu Yu Tea Classic into Italian.
