Data show that the size of Chinese netizens is 1.051 billion, of which the proportion of netizens using mobile Internet Internet users reached 99.6%.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) released the 50th China Internet Development Statistics Statistics Report (hereinafter referred to as: Report) in Beijing on Wednesday (August 31).The report shows that as of June 2022, the size of Chinese netizens was 1.051 billion, and the Internet penetration rate reached 74.4%.
The report shows that the scale of Chinese netizens has continued to grow steadily, compared with 19.19 million new netizens from December 2021, and the Internet penetration rate increased by 1.4 percentage points compared with December 2021.The construction of Internet infrastructure in rural areas has been comprehensively strengthened. China's existing administrative villages have realized "village villages and broadband", and the Internet penetration rate of the Internet in rural areas has increased by 1.2 percentage points from December 2021 to 58.8%.
In terms of network access environment, netizens per week on the Internet per week are 29.5 hours, an increase of 1.0 hours from December 2021.The proportion of netizens using mobile phones to access the Internet is 99.6%; the proportion of internet access to the Internet using desktop, laptop, TV and tablet computer is 33.3%, 32.6%, 26.7%, and 27.6%.
The report also shows that as of June 2022, the number of users in China's short video has grown the most obvious, reaching 962 million, an increase of 28.05 million compared with December 2021, accounting for 91.5%of the overall netizens.The number of instant communication users reached 1.027 billion, an increase of 20.42 million compared with December 2021, accounting for 97.7%of the overall netizens.The number of online news users reached 788 million, an increase of 16.98 million compared with December 2021, accounting for 75.0%of the overall netizens.The number of online live users reached 716 million, an increase of 12.9 million compared with December 2021, accounting for 68.1%of the overall netizens.The size of online medical users reached 3.00 billion, an increase of 1.96 million compared with December 2021, accounting for 28.5%of the overall netizens.
