(Hong Kong News) Li Zhiying, the founder of Hong Kong One Media Li Zhiying, entered the High Court to propose a judicial review, asking the police to obtain a search order to search for his mobile phone information, and the judge ruled that he was defeated.
According to Ming Pao, the Hong Kong Police National Security Department arrested Li Zhiying on August 10, 2020 and inspected his two apple mobile phones.
Li Zhiying requested the High Court afterwards to rulks the police without the right to consult the news materials in the mobile phone, and the materials were temporarily sealed.
The police obtained a search order last month in accordance with the implementation rules of the Hong Kong National Security Law to authorize the police to check the news materials.Li Zhiying entered the High Court to apply for a judicial review and requested the ruling to search for an invalid.
The Hong Kong National Security Law designated judge Chen Jiaxin on Tuesday (August 30) ruled that Li Zhiying loses the lawsuit and allows the police to unblock the news materials for inspection.In the past, we must not unblock and check the news materials. During this time, Li Zhiying must appeal to the results of judicial review and apply to the above appealing court to suspend the execution order.
