Huawei submitted an application in Canada to stop the extradition procedures for Meng Wanzhou.

According to Reuters, a spokesman for China Huawei Technology Co., Ltd. said yesterday that Huawei's lawyers have submitted an application to a Canadian court in order to immediately stop the procedure of the extrating of Huawei's Financial Director Meng Wanzhou to the United States.

Huawei's spokesman Benjamin Howes said in an email that the case did not meet Canada's dual criminal extradition conditions.

On December 1 last year, the Canadian police arrested Meng Wanzhou, 47, at Vancouver International Airport at the United States. She was accused of bank fraud and mislead Huawei's business in Iran.Meng Wanzhou claimed that he was innocent and opposed to the extradition.
