Chen Guoqiang was once regarded as the great housekeeper of Zhao Zhengyong, and the two were fellow Anhui residents.Zhao Faqi, a party to the recently heated 100 billion mining rights case, also confirmed the news to Sing Tao Daily. He had previously reported Zhao Zhengyong's involvement in the mining rights case.

The report quoted the Haojing Notes WeChat public account as revealing that on the afternoon of January 15, Shaanxi Vice Governor Chen Guoqiang was taken away from the provincial government compound by investigators, which surprised the surrounding staff.That night the news of Zhao Zhengyong's fall was announced.Chen Guoqiang, 57, is a native of Suzhou, Anhui Province and was once the deputy secretary-general of the provincial government.When Zhao Zhengyong served as governor and secretary of the provincial party committee, he served as secretary-general of the provincial government and was promoted to deputy governor last year, in charge of provincial land and resources, environmental protection, housing and urban and rural construction, and transportation.
