According to the People's Daily, on January 17, the Intermediate People's Court of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province held a public trial of the first instance in the case of Feng Xinzhu, the former vice-governor of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, for accepting bribes.
The People's Procuratorate of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province charged that from 1999 to 2017, the defendant Feng Xinzhu used his position as the chairman of Shaanxi Bada Electric Power Co., Ltd., the deputy mayor, acting mayor, and mayor of the Tongchuan Municipal People's Government, the secretary of the Tongchuan Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the ShaanxiThe convenience of the position of the deputy governor of the Provincial People's Government and the director of the Management Committee of the Yangling Agricultural High-tech Industry Demonstration Zone, as well as the convenient conditions for the formation of powers and status, provide relevant units and individuals with project investment, mineral development, capital lending, project contracting andProvide assistance in matters such as job adjustments, and receive property from the above-mentioned units and individuals directly or through others, totaling more than 70.47 million yuan.

Feng Xinzhu, who was born in July 1960, is a native of Yangxian, Shaanxi, and has been an official in Shaanxi.He used to work in Shaanxi Provincial Township Enterprise Economic and Trade Company, Shaanxi Agricultural Power Management Bureau and other units. In June 2001, he served as the deputy mayor of Tongchuan City, and later served as mayor and secretary of the municipal party committee. He has been in charge of this coal city for 14 years.In April 2015, Feng Xinzhu was promoted to vice-governor of Shaanxi Province and became a deputy-ministerial-level official until he was sacked in early 2018.
