When you encounter something, you must first think about whether you are doing right.

After graduating from Beijing No. 101 Middle School in 1962, Liu Ding was admitted to the Liangxiang Agricultural Technical School in the suburbs of Beijing; in 1966, he was sent to the Badaling and Yanqing Mountains in the suburbs of Beijing to teach; after the Cultural Revolution, he returned to Beijing and worked in the National Science and Technology Association; After the opening up, he went to Guangxi and other places to engage in economic management.

Liu Shaoqi raised 9 children in total.Among them, he left two sons and one daughter with the martyr He Baozhen, namely the eldest son Liu Yunbin, the eldest daughter Liu Aiqin, and the second son Liu Yunruo; he left a son and a daughter with Wang Qian, the second daughter Liu Tao, and the third son Liu Ding;Daughter Liu Pingping (Wang Qing), fourth son Liu Yuan, fourth daughter Liu Tingting, fifth daughter Liu Xiaoxiao.

He applied for a key high school in Beijing, but he was still two points behind. The staff around Liu Shaoqi prepared to greet the admissions department in Beijing and asked Liu Ding to be admitted first.

After Liu Shaoqi found out, he held a family meeting and told his family: Whether Ding Ding can go to high school should be decided by the school based on his grades.I am the president of the country, and I do things for the country and the people. I have no right to do private affairs for my own children, and I should not engage in malpractice for personal gain for my children's education.

In November 2006, when Liu Ding was a guest at the Pioneer Forum of Minwang, he recalled this past event with his father Liu Shaoqi.

My father never punished us, he always reasoned with us.He recalled: In the early 1960s, in 1962, when our country had just passed the three-year natural disaster period, my father asked me for my opinion, just for my promotion to high school, we held two family meetings, everyoneExpress your opinion. At that time, my father proposed two education systems. One education system is the same as the current primary school, middle school, and university, with a regular and normal route to school. There is another kind of part-time work-study, that is, half work and half study. This is how my father attended the French preparatory course in Tianjin. He supported himself to go to school. He advocated these two education systems.

So out of the nine children in our family, I was born as an agricultural student. I went to an agricultural technical secondary school. After graduating from junior high school, I went directly to an agricultural technical secondary school. I was 16 years old at the time, and I was a student of agriculture.technical school. It is also a practical path.About 54% of our school is working in the field, and 46% is teaching in the classroom, combining work and learning practice. He said.
