The prosecution’s indictment alleges: From 2010 to 2016, the defendant Zhu Yanhui took advantage of his position as the director of the Secretariat of the General Office of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission and the deputy director of the General Office of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission to seek benefits for relevant units and individuals in terms of work arrangements and job promotions.He has received property from others for many times, the amount of which is huge, and he should be investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of accepting bribes in accordance with the law.

Another CIRC official was sued

According to public information, Zhu Yanhui, born in 1979, studied finance at the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University.After joining the work, he successively served as full-time secretary at the deputy division level of the head office of the Agricultural Bank of China, secretary to the chairman of the head office of the Agricultural Bank of China, etc., and was later transferred to the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (formerly) as the secretary of the general office.Around September 2016, Zhu Yanhui was promoted from the former Director of the Secretariat of the General Office of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission to Deputy Director of the General Office.

Xiang Junbo's case was revealed to have been prosecuted in the first instance

Zhu Yanhui was the secretary of Xiang Junbo, the former chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission. When the first trial of Xiang Junbo's bribery case was held, it was also revealed that Zhu Yanhui was prosecuted for alleged bribery.

According to media reports, after Xiang Junbo was inspected by the organization in April last year, two other former CIRC officials were interviewed, including Zhu Yanhui and an official from the property insurance department.

It took 14 months for Xiang Junbo to undergo organizational review on April 9, 2017, to the first trial of the bribery case on June 14 this year.
