An update on the official website of the State Sports General Administration shows that the deputy leadership of the bureau has three entries and one exit.The three new deputy directors are: Yang Ning, former member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work; Li Jianming, head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Committee in the General Administration of Sports;Zhao Yong stepped down as deputy director of the State Sports General Administration.

This is another change in the deputy leadership of the State Sports General Administration after Cai Zhenhua was transferred to the vice chairman and secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions in September.

Before that, she was the only female member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee.She is the first female deputy director of the State Sports General Administration in nine years after Hu Jiayan (the deputy director of the State Sports General Administration from 2005 to 2009, and the head of the discipline inspection team of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection at the State Sports General Administration).

Yang Ning served as Secretary of the Qujing District Committee of the Communist Youth League, Vice Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Women's Federation, Minister of Publicity of the Kunming Municipal Party Committee, and Deputy Secretary of the Chuxiong Prefecture Party Committee. At the end of 2009, he served as the Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau.
