On the same day, the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to convey the Party Central Committee's decision to conduct disciplinary review and supervisory investigation on Zeng Zhiquan's suspected serious violation of discipline and law.

Zeng Zhiquan is a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a representative of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.At the National Two Sessions in March this year, he spoke on how private enterprises should succeed.

According to public reports, he was the first member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference to be investigated, and he was also the second representative of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to be investigated.On July 6, Zhao Weiliang, a representative of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, member of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, secretary of the Municipal Education Work Committee, and director of the Municipal Education Commission, was sacked.

In 1986, after graduating from the Commercial Economics Department of Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics with a major in commercial economics, Zeng Zhiquan joined the Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance as a member of the corporate finance department.Since then, he has been promoted all the way from deputy chief staff member, chief staff member, deputy director, and director.

In 2003, he served as the deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance. Seven years later, he was transferred to the director of the department in 2010 and was promoted to the department level.

It is relatively rare for the director of the Provincial Department of Finance to be directly promoted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and only served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for the past year.

According to an insider in the Guangdong officialdom, Zeng Zhiquan suspected that economic and political issues were intertwined.The economic issue refers to his tenure in the Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance; the political issue is related to the special work to completely eliminate the influence of Li Jia and Wan Qingliang's poisoning in Guangdong Province.

Before Zeng Zhiquan was sacked, the central inspection team completed its inspection of Guangdong Province.Feedback from the inspection pointed out that the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee was not thorough enough to eliminate the bad influences of Li Jia and Wan Qingliang, problems such as government-business collusion and circle culture still exist, and the implementation of the responsibility system for ideological work is not in place;Promotion, buying and selling officials and other issues.

Song Xiuyan, who was added as a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the Economic Committee, was born in October 1955.
