Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan said yesterday (2nd) that China is willing to achieve common development with other countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and will continue to firmly support multilateralism, support the United Nations in playing a central role, and contribute Chinese wisdom to building a fair and just global governance systemand strength.
According to China News Agency, Wang Qishan made the above remarks when meeting with the President of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly Lajčak in Zhongnanhai, Beijing.
Wang Qishan pointed out that world peace, stability and common development are an indispensable external environment for the nearly 1.4 billion Chinese people to live a better life and realize the modernization of the Chinese nation.
He said that the leaders of the Chinese presidency advocate and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, building a world of lasting peace, universal security, common prosperity, openness, inclusiveness, cleanliness and beauty, which is in line with the common interests of mankind and the trend of the times.
The report quoted Lajčak as saying that China is a strong supporter of multilateralism and an indispensable force for promoting world peace and development. The United Nations is willing to continue to deepen all-round cooperation with China.
