Hu Haifeng, the son of Hu Jintao, was appointed Secretary of the Lishui Municipal Part

(Zhejiang comprehensive news) Hu Haifeng, the son of the former general secretary of the Communist Party of China, Hu Jintao, confirmed his promotion to Lishui Municipal Party Committee Secretary, becoming the youngest municipal party secretary among Zhejiang prefecture-level cities.

Zhejiang Daily reported that the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee has decided: Zhang Bing will take over as Party Secretary of Jiaxing, and Hu Haifeng will be transferred to Party Secretary of Lishui.

According to the WeChat public account Zhengshi, Hu Haifeng was born in November 1972 after the 1970s. His public resume shows that he graduated from Northern Jiaotong University and was a senior engineer at Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd.Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute.

In May 2013, Hu Haifeng served as the deputy secretary of the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee.In March 2016, he served as the mayor of Jiaxing City.So far, Hu Haifeng has served as mayor of Jiaxing for two and three months.

Looking back on Hu Haifeng’s two-year career as mayor of Jiaxing, Zheng Shi pointed out that he attached great importance to the new economy and mentioned digital economy such as AR technology in his government work report.The seven-in-one coordinated development of research, finance, mediation, and use, with integration and innovation as the core, will create a technology enterprise incubation city with special influence in the Yangtze River Delta featuring a global incubator.One month after he assumed office as mayor of Jiaxing, Hu Haifeng also added a Fa-study session before the executive meeting of the Jiaxing Municipal Government, showing that he attaches great importance to the rule of law.

According to Hong Kong media Hong Kong 01, under Hu Haifeng’s administration for more than two years, Jiaxing’s economic growth rate reached 7.8% last year, a new high in the past four years; the per capita GDP is nearly 14,000 US dollars, which is also much higher than the average level of the mainland.

Lishui is the largest and poorest prefecture-level city in Zhejiang Province. Some analysts believe that Hu Haifeng was transferred to Lishui to bring his experience in economic development in Jiaxing to Lishui.
