The Hong Kong government issued a gazette today stating that Chief Executive Carrie Lam has revoked Song Lin's appointment as a justice of the peace, effective today.

According to Sing Tao Daily, Song Lin was the former chairman of China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd., an old Chinese-funded company in Hong Kong. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison in Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court in June last year for corruption and bribery of about 33 million yuan.
