(Seoul General News) Koo Bon-moo, chairman of South Korea's LG Group, died on May 20 at the age of 73.

From last year to the beginning of this year, Gu Benmao underwent several brain surgeries. Recently, his condition deteriorated and he was hospitalized, but he died after treatment failed.

According to a person from the LG Group, Koo Ben-moo expressed his reluctance to accept life-prolonging treatment (including the four medical behaviors of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, artificial respirator, hemodialysis, and injection of anti-cancer agents) that prolong the patient's life, and hoped that the funeral would be simplified.In accordance with his will, the family funeral will be held in private and condolences and wreaths from outsiders will be declined.

Koo Ben-moo is the grandson of Koo In-hui, the founder of LG Group, and the third-generation leader of the LG family. He has been the chairman of the group since 1995.Koo Ben Mohara studied at Yonsei University, a famous Korean university, and then went to the United States to study. After returning to China, he joined the group to work.In addition to the main fields of LG Group such as electrical electronics and chemicals, Koo Bonmoo is also actively involved in new growth fields such as communication services, auto parts, displays, energy, and biology, and carries out offensive operations.

After Koo Bon-moo's death, the baton of LG Group will be handed over to his adopted son, LG Electronics Executive Koo Kwang-mo.Gu Guangmo is the eldest son of Gu Bonmoo's younger brother and was adopted as an adopted son in 2004.At the Extraordinary General Meeting of LG Group held next month, Koo Kwang-mo will be elected as a registered director, stepping into the front line of operation in an all-round way.
