China ’s largest meteorological balloon manufacturer Zhuzhou Rubber Research and Design Institute has denied that it is associated with the balloon that flew into the United States earlier this month, indicating that it is not a military company.
According to Reuters on Saturday (February 25), Zhuzhou rubber belongs to Sinochem Group.Zhuzhou Rubber issued a statement on the official website of Sinochem Group saying that the company is mainly engaged in the production of air balloon that produces natural latex, and its business is in line with all applicable laws and regulations.The company's products are used only for the daily weather forecast of meteorological stations, which has nothing to do with the reported balloon incident.
Hunan Zhuzhou Rubber Research and Design Institute is China's largest meteorological balloon manufacturer, producing 75%high -air balloon used by the China Meteorological Administration.Zhuzhou rubber is controlled by Sinochem Group through Shanghai listed company Haohua Chemical Technology Group Co., Ltd.
