US White House officials announced that Rosenberg, senior director of the Taiwan Strait Cross -Strait Affairs of the White House National Security Council, left next month and has no connection with the Chinese balloon incident.

Comprehensive Reuters and Bloomberg reported that officials said on Wednesday (February 15) that Laura Rosenberger's departure was set up before the balloon event.

Sarah Bran, a US State Council, will take over this position. Rush Doshi, director of the Chinese Mainland China Affairs, will be promoted to become her deputy.

White House officials said that Rosenberg has assisted the United States to strengthen the informal relationship with Taiwan by expanding and deepening contact with Taiwan.
